Frequently asked questions.
Who is nutrition coaching right for?
EVERYONE! At some point in our lives, we could ALL benefit from nutrition coaching. Coaching is right for someone who wants to: lose weight/fat, gain weight, maintain weight, add muscle, improve overall health, navigate pregnancy/postpartum/ breastfeeding goals, improve physical fitness, look better, feel better, have more energy/vitality, healthy aging, get control of eating habits, get stronger, improve athletic performance, or get off/decrease medications.
How long does coaching last?
As long as YOU need! On average clients work with me for 3 to 6 months. Because our habits are deeply ingrained, making changes that will last a lifetime occur in stages and often take time. Be patient and compassionate with yourself. People often wonder how many times we'll need to meet. That entirely depends on your goals, what support systems you have in place, and many other factors. I'm here for you as long (or as short) as you need!
Will you assign workouts/exercise for me?
Movement is part of a healthy lifestyle. To participate in coaching, you will not be REQUIRED to complete a prescribed workout plan. We can work together to find ways to have your daily movement support your health goals and to have your nutrition, sleep, stress management and recovery support your daily movement
Where are you located?
I personally live in Kansas City, MO. You don’t need to be local for coaching! Nutrition coaching meetings can take place virtually over zoom from the convenience of your home/office. If you are local to the metro area, in-person meetings are available. Meetings have taken place all over the metro area: from a favorite park, to local coffee shops (some that I frequent for meetings often are Mildreds, Urban Prairie Coffee, Headrush, and Homer’s coffee house. I would love to learn about YOUR local favorite), or at a library around KC. We will work together to find the best option for you..
